Kids are at an age at which learning natural movement principles could truly last a lifetime.
This class is built to help kids kickstart a new relationship with their body, movement, exercise, and health. While there’s no doubt that this class could make a child more athletic and capable in a variety of sporting, dance, artistic, play, or martial contexts, the goal is not to train potential super athletes, but to connect each kid with their body and mind through movement.
A good exercise curriculum for any age starts with applicable physical skills. This 8-week course will cover:
Hanging & Climbing
Running & Locomotion
Planking & Bridging
Hand Balancing & Handstands
Each classes are designed around the following components:
1. Warm ups and team building exercises
2. Skill learning and practice
3. Games (that put play, laughter, teamwork, challenge, and triumph, over head-to-head competition)
4. Cool down and “fieldwork” challenges to practice between classes
This is an 8-week course, running Tuesdays at 2:30-3:30pm. Starts Sept. 25th through November 13th. Limited space! Two steps to reserve for your kid: First, purchase one or more single classes or a 4-class pack and then, reserve a spot (establish an account and sign in under your name. Pack holders for group training can also use their own packs, if they wish).
Most kids are between 6 and 11. But kids a little older than this can join if they’d like, too.
