Strength – OLD
Strong movements to mindfully build a lean, resilient body and ageless ability. All life is built on movement and all movement is built on strength.
A word on definition. We define Strength as the whole body integrated, feet to fingers, butt to brain. Synthesis is the ultimate movement, so no mindless pumping moves, no stagnant spot-reducing snake oil myths. True strength is not flexed muscles, it’s a wave of fluid movement directed through a lean, intelligent body. Picture blending weights and tai chi and you’ll get the idea!
- Want to tone and target “trouble spots”? Movement-based workouts train the legs, hips, butt, core, shoulders and arms better than an isolation-based approach. Together is better.
- Want to feel like you can run up a hill (with a kid on your shoulders?) Movement develops natural strength for life and sport outside the workout, not just specialized exercise ability.
- Want to build yourself up without breaking your body down? Replace grunting against heavy bars and isolation machines with lighter weights and fuller movements. Natural movement builds lean, bulk-less bodies, and long-term resiliency that complements the aging process.
We’re a movement lab, a learning path, not a stagnant, cookie-cutter program. Everything we do is movement-based, team-oriented, and scalable to your body and level of ability. Our classes are group workouts, not a follow-the-leader format. No gurus, no microphone headsets (unless you bring your own).

“The workouts are varied, intense (but modifiable), fun, and focused on functional strength, fitness, and flexibility rather than just doing hundreds of boring squats to burn calories.”

“I have to admit that I was a little scared about going here with some co-workers, mostly because I didn’t know what to expect. I was picturing a gym full of meat heads I guess, which is not my scene at all.
This place is further from that picture than you could ever get. The atmosphere of the place is actually very chill/relaxing. It’s a big open space with tons of interesting looking equipment.”
